936 Kitchen

Quiet restaurant, which was supposed to serve the neighbouring condos; they close for a break around 230pm. We were fortunate that the staff were around when we went and were willing to serve us. Directional signs were also lacking, and we had to ask for directions. Situated on Level 1, as they had a ground floor, so you had to take the lift up. Service was fast, and staff were polite. Plus, you get a good view of the sea. Food were regular dishes like spaghetti and Rosti, but they were tasty. It's definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The moment you step inside, it feels like entering a forest, very Instagrammable and perfect for photos. The interior is quite spacious and thoughtfully designed, and with the Christmas decorations added, the whole place feels even more festive and cosy. The food selection isn’t very extensive, and most of the dishes focus on seafood. If you’re not a seafood lover, the options may feel a bit limited. It would be great if they could add more non-seafood choices in the future, such as chicken or pork dishes, or classics like fish and chips or chicken chop, to cater to a wider range of preferences. The food taste good and is well-prepared. It’s a very interesting dining outlet located at Danga Bay Johor Bahru. 936 Kitchen is located at level 1, which you have to enter a lobby and take the elevator. If you are driving you will have to park your car at the opposite at the Mall and walk across. Reason for the five star rating is because of the unique atmosphere, friendly faces and unique fusion food. They also have a terrace overseeing the sea (for smoker) to have a drink before their dinner. In terms of food, it was pretty interesting and new to me. From presentation to texture and taste… was surprisingly very good. I didn’t pay for it, but I guess it ain’t cheap. If you are thinking of a nice candle light dinner or impressing your friend or family for a unique dinner experience this will be a nice place.

nice place with good view of the beach, food was quite nice as well. Tried the recommended guacamole with yam chips, roast chicken, ocean trout, coconut tiger, garlic rice. Price was probably on the higher side.

Beautiful Place, Extraordinary Food, Great Service - Highly Recommended and Great Place to Celebrate Special Occasion! We celebrated my Hubby's birthday here and we truly had a great experience. Beautiful Place: the stunning garden entrance itself is so gorgeous. Inside offers a stylish, spacious and nice ambience. Outside you will get a beautiful beach and pool view. Recommended to go during sunset to enjoy the golden hour view! Extraordinary Food: they offer exquisite menu, more on pricey side but with that flavor and quality is totally worth it. Food was flavorful and really delicious (salute to the chefs!). We ordered in advanced their burnt cheesecake (only available cake they have) and they plated it beautifully for hubby's birthday. <3 Great Service: Outstanding service from the staffs- very friendly, accommodating and always alert and available. Reservation is strongly advisable.

We recently had our company’s annual dinner at 936 Kitchen, and it was such a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely phenomenal – every dish was so yummy and full of flavor. What surprised us even more was the price – it was incredibly affordable for a group of 21 people. Definitely a great spot for large gatherings without breaking the bank. Totally recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere right by the beach. The food was amazing - everything was fresh and very well cooked. The durian tiramisu was a highlight!

Love the food here. Really good sized portions & a very reasonable cost, relative to how good the food is. Deducted points for service & atmosphere as last time there was a kid walking around for an hour with incredibly squeaky shoes (that was the novelty of them, like one of those super loud squeezable rubber chickens) and no server did anything to stop the child. Also it's normally very difficult to find a server, both to order food & to order more drinks.
